Over the past month since I’ve graduated from high school almost everyone I’ve come into contact with asks me… “ What college will you be attending?” This is probably one of the most aggravating questions to me, because it is stereotypical in my opinion. I don’t like that people automatically assume that after graduating high school people go straight to college. I have nothing against college don’t get me wrong, I want to eventually go to college. I will just have to wait and see what God’s plans are for me though, because as of this year He has drastically flipped my world upside down. I honestly thought I was going to go straight to college but then God told me “this isn’t what I have in store for you right now.” “You going to college pleases’ yourself, but there is so much more to this life and I want you to do something to please me!”

"
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
(John 8:12)

"It is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure."
(Philippians 2:13)

Going back to the question “what college will you be attending this fall?” I now know that this question is a blessing that God has placed in my life. Through this aggravating question I have been able to talk to so many people about this upcoming Passport Trip! I’ve talked to my doctor, a random bank lady, and many more people. I was at the beach last week for 3 days. Day 1 I started a random conversation with a woman at Dollar Tree through that she asked me if I was attending college. Next thing I know I’m telling her about this trip God has placed upon my heart and she says to me “wow! I will definitely be praying for you.” I just gained a prayer warrior that I don’t even know and I can’t help but think God has opened this way of communicating/blessing and sharing His love with other people. I met another girl the following day at the beach… and our conversation started because of my gauges. How awesomely amazing God works, we then started talking about God and what He has been doing in our lives. I left that store with chills and another sister in Christ praying for our team! I know that all of us going on this Passport Trip will not be lacking prayer warriors. I thank God for that aggravating annoying question that everyone asks me, because it opens a door to share what God has done and is currently doing in my life. I have a new way of looking at this question now. And I can’t wait for the next person to ask me “what college are you going to?” because I know through this I will be shining Gods light and sharing His love.

God Bless,
