“Nothing we do changes the past; everything we do changes the future.”

I think that this is extremely hard to do because we always tend to dwell on what happened… or what could have happened. While listening to these words being spoken at my graduation; I realized I can’t sit and worry about my past mistakes or past regrets. Nothing that we do as humans will ever change the past. But every moment of what we do with the exhisitng time changes our future. We are all here for a purpose. Live it without looking back through the past, because in reality that changes nothing. I once read a quote…

“The reason why your windshield is larger than your rear view mirror is because where you’re going, is greater than where you’ve been.” – Kirk Franklin

God has plans much bigger for me than I had/have for myself! So I need to look to Him through everything. He knows why certain things have happened in my life. He is preparing me everyday for this Passport Immersion trip! And I cannot wait to see where He is taking me!

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:18-19)

  1. Here are a few quotations from the book:
    “BILLY GRAHAM IN QUOTES”
by Franklin Graham and Donna Lee Toney:
    ———-
    You can’t change the past,
But with God’s help you can change the future.
No matter what your life has been like so far,
God wants to put your feet on…
    a new path…
    a better path…
    His path.
    ———-
This is the age of grace.
God’s offer of forgiveness and a new life still stands.
    ———-
    In one bold stroke, forgiveness….
    obliterates the past
    and
permits us to enter the land of new beginnings.
    ———-
Every journey has a starting point…
    and it has an end.
God meant for life to be filled with
    joy and purpose.
    He invites us to…
take the rest of the journey with Him.
    ———-
    End your journey well.
    Don’t waste your life, and
Don’t be satiusfied with anything less than God’s plan.
    ———-
    Yes, Beckah…
We all have mistakes, failures and regrets in our past.
    The enemy would like to
keep bringing those things up to us.
As His children, God has forgiven us
of all of these things by His great grace.
Now, we need to focus our attention on our
    wonderful Saviour and Lord…
    loving Him,
    praising Him,
    fellowshipping with Him, and
    serving Him.
By so doing, we will certainly experience…
the best life possible on Earth
    and then
a glorious eternity in Heaven with Him later.
We continue to pray for you.
    May God grant you
    His peace and
surround you with His presence today…and every day.
