Just a few of my first time life experiences that have happened in Nicaragua so far…

1. Drank coke in a bag.

2. Peed on the side of a busy Nicaraguan road.

3. Learned how to mix cement from scratch.

4. Did door to door ministry.

5. Saw my first scorpion.

6. Washed my clothing by hand.

Over all the month of September has been eye-opening. I cannot believe that I have almost spent a month in Nicaragua. Time flies by extremely fast here. The ministry is different then I expected but so much better than I could have imagined.

Almost everyday we wake up around 7ish, go eat breakfast then do work around the compound where we are living. This past week we have been focusing on building a bedroom addition for a man named Mario. He lives here at Vision Nicaragua and is our driver. Mario lives in a one room house so this addition is such an exciting thing for his little boy! It started out we had to cut down 2 trees then level the ground, and dig trenches. We just started with the cement on friday so we will be continuing the process for a couple of weeks. It is going to take a long time to do, just because we don't have all equipment that we have in the United States. But it is really teaching everyone patience. After our work in the mornings we eat lunch at 12 and then rest for a few hours. Then we go do ministry in Bethel at 2ish. Lately ministry in Bethel for me is looking more like just hanging out with the teens my age. I'm starting to learn spanish from them. They are so welcoming and accepting of my horrible spanish as I'm trying to learn more. I have had some amazing times with them. They are constantly making me laugh and are constantly laughing at me and saying… "tu es comica." Which means you are comical, because they think I make funny faces.

I keep thinking about this place and realizing that this feels like home. This is my home. I have no needs; I have no wants here. I just enjoy the work and the people. I love the community I am living with and the constant quiet time I'm spending with God each day. I think God is just reaffirming to me that this is what I am supposed to be doing. I have a complete peace about this trip and I continue to thank Him for that.

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17

I ask that people could continue to pray for open hearts and understanding for the people of Nicaragua.

Pray that they would understand that it is a personal relationship not just going to church.

I ask also that you would pray for the health of my squad.

Thank you everyone for your support! GOD BLESS

LOVE YOU ALL <3
