 I thought that I would write a blog about what God has told me about what I am doing after this trip. He is so good because He knows exactly when to tell me what is next. He told me recently and when I know what I am supposed to do I'm like okay lets go do this right away. So that is why He tells me fairly last minute. Well I am going to college! the funny story about it is I was very content to go home stay there for awhile volunteer at an organization and just live my life. Which before this trip I just wanted to go to college. When I found out that I would be going to college I thought, well I don't really want to be away from home again. Because if anything I have learned how much family means to me. So I though I  will just go to Lancaster Bible College. But God wants to give us the desires of our heart. And when I was a junior I visited Waynesburg University; I fell in love with the campus and I said if I ever got to college it will be here. I had reapplied when I was in Nicaragua, but it went away for awhile. And when God told me He wanted me to go to college, Waynesburg sent me an e-mail reminding me that I had applied and that I was accepted. I fought with it for a while because my biggest fear was how am I supposed to afford a private University? It is so dang expensive. One day a couple of weeks ago we had worship as a squad… and I was just silent; I couldn't get myself to sing. But it was the perfect timing for God to start asking me questions. God asked me why I don't fully trust Him with college. And He said I provided for this trip. I can provide for your college education as well, you just need to fully trust in me. I will provide. That is when I let go and said okay no matter what I am going to Waynesburg and I am not going to let the price of it hold me back from going. The other really exciting thing is, is that I actually know what I am going to major in. I am going to major in social work! I believe God wants me to eventually help with an organization that deals with street children. because ever since the Philippines there has been a passion and desire in my heart to help them. I am not sure where that will lead me yet.. but in time the Lord will  reveal His plan. When I was 14 God placed Brazil on my heart, so I don't know maybe God will lead me there. There you have it… what I am doing this coming school year. Please continue to keep me in your prayers. Thank you so much for your support in mil ice it has been amazing to see how much everyone cares.

  1. WHOA! So exciting!!! So proud of you Beckah! Seeing where the Lord is leading with street children too is so amazing

  2. Exciting news anytime we hear of someone following the Lord’s lead in their life! Praying for continued clarity for you, and then a total willingness to put one foot in front of the other, even if you can’s see what’s behind the next bend in the road! See ya soon!

  3. So very proud of you, that you can open your heart and mind and hear God speaking to you. What an amazing and wonderful feeling that is. God will always guide you in the right direction as long as you follow him; may not always be easy with trials along the way, but the end reward will be …’words’…amazing!!! We will all be so happy to see you when you return home. I pray your homebound trip will be event free and smooth. Probably can’t wait to take a long soak in a clean bathtub with running hot water. Love you.

    Isaiah 6:8 says:
    I heard the voice of the Lord, saying,
    Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?
    Then said I, Here am I; send me.

    Keep saying those prompt “Yeses” to God!

    Philippians 4:19 says:
    But my God shall supply all your need
    according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

    As you follow God’s leading,
    you can claim God’s promises…like this one.

    Psalm 23 says:
    The LORD is my shepherd;
    I shall not want.
    He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
    he leadeth me beside the still waters.
    He restoreth my soul:
    he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
    Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
    I will fear no evil:
    for thou art with me;
    thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
    Thou preparest a table before me
    in the presence of mine enemies:
    thou anointest my head with oil;
    my cup runneth over.
    Surely goodness and mercy
    shall follow me all the days of my life:
    and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

    Yes, the Lord (your Shepherd) will lead you…
    as you listen to His voice and follow Him….day by day.

    You are in our thoughts and prayers, Beckah.
